About the Group

The Intra Regional Prosthetic Audit Group (IRPAG) seeks to improve the standard of care offered to amputees through a process of ongoing practice review and audit. IRPAG comprises of representatives from nine prosthetic centres situated across the south east of England. All of the professional disciplines involved in the care of amputees are represented. IRPAG meets three times a year at the Royal Society of Medicine, Wimpole Street, London. This is the venue of choice because of its central location and meetings are consistently well attended. The forum is unique in that it cuts across centre and company boundaries with a common aim, the provision of the best possible standards of care. As well as a series of presentations, each meeting provides a forum for lively discussion and debate. It is of course an ideal setting for the dissemination of information relevant to professionals involved in amputee rehabilitation.

Topics that have been presented at IRPAG over the course of the past year include:

The above list is just a sample of topics that have been presented or, are the subject of ongoing work. It is important that work conducted through IRPAG is accessible to the wider community involved in amputee rehabilitation and any interested parties. It is envisaged that during the course of the next few months a summary of work conducted through IRPAG will be appropriately presented on the website.
